Nutmeg

After endless research and discussion, Adam and I are getting a puppy ... well not for another 6 weeks when it will be ready to leave her mother.

We're getting an English Bulldog, and named her Nutmeg.

This is my favourite description of the English Bulldog, "If snoring, grunting, snorting, drooling and flatulence bother you, then a Bulldog is not right for you. They exhibit all of the above traits – to excess." However, this breed is supposed to be a couch potato, loves to be cuddled, is easy going, friendly, and is a big clown.

We're very excited to have Little Nutmeg join our household. We will be going back to school at our local canine school. I hope she passes Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Obedience.

Nothing beats a Diet Coke in glass

Whenever I ask for a Diet Coke at a restaurant, it always makes me happy when the server serves it in a 355ml glass bottle. It always reminds me of the time I lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan back in 1985-1987. I would come home from school (grade 6 & 7), grab my empty bottle from the day before and walk down the street past 3 houses and go into the corner store, which we nicknamed 'Dirty Pete' because Pete always knew what was going on with everyone. I would trade in my empty bottle for 15 cents and spend another 45 cents to buy a new pop for the evening.

Sometimes I would even buy some candy. Dirty Pete always had the best candy for a penny, nickel, dime, etc.
