We took the scenic drive, which is a bit longer, along the water to Summerside, PEI. It was a pretty drive with views of the water, green landscape and seeing different coloured houses, such as purple or blue with white trim. I really like seeing the houses in a variety of colours. It looks so warm and welcoming.

Yesterday our group rode camels for an hour into the desert and stayed at a camp overnight. We ate chicken tagine with vegatables and had clementines for dessert. Our group went to see the Palace doors, which are exquisite metal, ceramic and marble tiles.
We went to a lookout place to get a panoramic view of the medina. I bought an umbrella for 30 MAD because it started to really downpour and I didn't hear anything our local tour guide, named Hakima said as it was too windy and everyone's umbrella was turning inside out.

We ended up going to the first restaurant we saw called Yosun. The head waiter took very good care of us. We picked out our appetizers and the rest was a pleasant surprise. Two sea bass were brought out for our inspection and Nina had a nice glass of local white wine while I contented myself with a cold Efes beer. First, we ate breakfast in a courtyard covered with vines and fruit trees. A typical Turkish breakfast consists of fresh bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, olives, a hard-boiled egg, and çay (tea). I love çay! Our room at the Kiwi Pension is larger than our previous room but not as quaint. It's also noisy due to its location, which right next to the main washroom and the desk with the computer. They need to invest in a new computer because we can hear the computer's fan running from our room. To describe Goreme would be "other worldly". It's peaceful, laid-back, and has great hospitality. So far we've been invited two bbqs, and a Turkish dance/dinner. On May 14, 2008, Trixie and C travelled to Montreal to see The Cure play at the Bell Centre. It was a fantastic show and by far, the longest concert I have ever attended for a one act show. They played for three hours straight and probably would have gone on for a bit longer.
